FoundationStone relies on Java to provide Unicode text services. A minor problem affects certain Java versions, where vowels are not ignored in string matching, meaning only exact Hebrew spelling is returned. This affects the Lexicon Hebrew search.

Additionally, the Benchmarking features of version 3.1 (released July 2007) can be affected too, as detailed here.

If you have this problem, try the latest java available at java.com .

If that doesn't fix it, then the following Java versions are known to work -

• Download Sun's Java 1.4.1_02 via http
  - 7.6MB .exe self extracting OR
• Download Sun's Java 1.3.1i via http
  - works on Windows95, won't work on WindowsXP - 7.8MB .exe self extracting
